OUR PROGRAMS
Four classrooms, one caring community. A thoughtful learning journey for children ages 1 through 4.
1 year old
In order to be ready for social and academic benefits, our one-year-old program will be the right place to get started! A secure and nurtured learning environment will help them boost language and motor skills and enhance their social skills through interactions with others as well as the early learning opportunities.
2 years old
Our two-year-old program is designed to introduce children to numbers 1 through 20 and the alphabet, with a letter per week. Dramatic play, housekeeping centers, and block centers are used to reinforce social skills through listening and sharing, enrich engineering sense, and promote creativity.
3 years old
Letter recognition and phonics are taught, along with one letter each week. Also taught are different colors, shapes, basic numerical concepts in math, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and hands-on experiments in science. Using materials for literacy is also taught to reinforce the aspects of literacy. Centers and extracurriculars play a big role in teaching weekly themes and beginning sight words in a fun and dynamic way.
Pre-K
TPS Pre-K program serves as a vital stepping stone to prepare children for formal kindergarten. We focus on our students’ holistic development, nurturing their social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual growth. Our class provides the knowledge and learning habits needed to form a solid academic foundation. In addition to core academics, Pre-K students practice daily and weekly lessons on positive character traits and language development. Subjects are integrated through thematic lessons, Bible study, math, and critical thinking. It also covers phonics—mastering everything from short and long vowels to digraphs and blends—to make reading a fun and rewarding experience. All of these lessons are bundled into one convenient, individual Pre-K pack!
TPS utilizes the Abeka curriculum and incorporates themes each week, which boasts excellence in learning and teaching academic standards and biblical values in balance from a Christian perspective.
